Surebets
Surebet, surewin, arbitrage, arb, Dutch book, etc. are all names of the same thing: a betting-strategy which guarantees a profit, regardless of the outcome of the gamble.
This is possible when the odds for the same betting-object differs enough between two or more bookmakers. More details about the subject can be found at e.g. Wikipedia.
With a few steps a fast and riskfree profit is produced.
However, there are a few basic things to have in mind when using the strategy:
- One of the odds can be lowered before all bets are placed.
- The maximum bet allowed differs between bookmakers.
- Bookmakers can have different rules for what happens at disqualifcation, w.o., postboned etc.
- Always double-check the name of the competitors. Sometimes names can be very similar.
A suggestion is to start betting with smaller amount until the technique is adapted in the right way.
